A collaborative performance and media project with Risa Horn, 2014 via the Backpack Gallery at the DUMBO Arts Festival, New York.
LISTEN | CONTRIBUTE (mobile only)
On day 1 we invited participants to record a story of something they had lost, that they still missed. On day 2, visitors lifted the receiver to hear recorded stories collected the day before.
The interface for the project was a web app running on an iPhone whose screen was hidden by a wooden faceplate. Participants could access two buttons: SHARE or LISTEN.
Participants shared stories of lost books, childhood, virginity, cats, photos, parents, luggage, children, clothes, identity, keepsakes, toys, friends, jewelry. Stories are online here: LISTEN
